ABRO Company Description
ABRO (or Army Base Repair Organization) is to an army what a pit crew is to a race car. A trading fund of the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD), ABRO offers engineering, repair and remanufacturing services to government agencies including the British Army, Air Force, and police. Whether the need is armored vehicle repair or routine servicing of an army hospital X-ray machine, ABRO is where the MoD turns for help. Other areas of expertise include armor and artillery engineering support, calibration equipment support, engine and transmission testing, fleet management, and weapons systems support. In 2007 the UK's MoD said it would merge ABRO with DARA (Defence Aviation Repair Agency) by April 2008.
