Hoover's Rolls Out Significant Enhancements To Family Tree And Adds Deeper International Company Coverage

Tenfold Increase In Family Tree Coverage; Threefold Increase In International Companies

AUSTIN, TEXAS - September 8, 2005 - Hoover's, Inc., a D&B company that gives its customers a competitive edge with insightful information about industries, companies and key decision makers, today announced significant enhancements to its Family Tree Viewer and additional international company coverage. The enhancements, available to subscribers immediately at www.hoovers.com, provide greater insight than ever before into companies and their corporate structures.

Hoover's has enhanced its Family Tree Viewer to deliver a tenfold increase in the number of Family Trees available to subscribers. For example, Pro Premium subscribers can now access approximately 500,000 Family Trees, representing 3.9 million corporate entities worldwide. The Family Tree tool provides a detailed perspective of how companies fit within a corporate structure by providing links to parents, subsidiaries and branches.

Hoover's Family Tree coverage now includes information from both Hoover's and D&B's in-depth databases. Family Tree Viewer displays companies hierarchically, revealing parent, subsidiary and branch relationships. The tool shows names, locations and branch status, and has the ability to expand, collapse, show or hide locations. From the Family Tree, subscribers can link to the company record for individual tree members and quickly gain in-depth insight on any subsidiary, location or branch.

Hoover's has also increased its North American coverage by adding 1.2 million records on Canadian companies, bringing the total number of North American (U.S. and Canada) company records to 14.2 million. This latest round of enhancements also ensures that Hoover's customers can expand their efforts throughout North America, as well as worldwide, whether they're looking for more sales leads and new markets, evaluating potential partners or researching suppliers.

Additionally, Hoover's has expanded its U.K. company coverage to include 2.2 million companies and 2 million decision makers. For those companies outside Canada and the U.K., Hoover's has tripled its coverage to 290,000, adding significant depth to Hoover's global coverage. This enhancement includes the addition of 1.2 million international decision makers.
