Hoover's, Inc. Announces Launch Of Phase II Of Its Highly Successful Access Hoover's offering On Salesforce.com's AppExchange

Salesforce.com Customers Can Deploy Additional Access Hoover's Functionality And Data Within Their Salesforce Implementations

SAN FRANCISCO - salesforce.com Dreamforce Conference - October 9, 2006 - Hoover's, Inc., a D&B company that gives its customers a competitive edge with insightful information about industries, companies and key decision makers, and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced the next version of Access Hoover's for salesforce.com's AppExchange. Phase II of Access Hoover's is available via private beta at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange. The announcement was made today at Dreamforce '06, salesforce.com's User and Developer Conference.

Key enhancements unveiled in Phase II of Access Hoover's include:

  • Field Mapping - customers will be able to assign Hoover's data fields to their existing Salesforce fields, into which information will be imported. This feature is key for many Hoover's subscribers who require a greater level of customization.
  • D-U-N-S Number Search - enables faster data updates from Hoover's. If a customer seeks to update one of their D-U-N-S-numbered account records with the latest Hoover's data, all they have to do is click "Update Account from Hoover's" to access the exact record they need.
  • More Hoover's data - expanded access to more than 50 Hoover's data points, including Ultimate and Immediate Parent, NAICS Codes, and key financials, such as Sales Growth and Net Income.
  • Hoover's Family Tree - customers with access to this tool can now view through Salesforce the full scope of a company's corporate linkage to more clearly identify corporate relationships and discover new selling opportunities.
  • Hoover's Report Builder - customers can easily prepare for meetings and presentations by using this tool to build custom, professional company reports.
