The Aussies went on a 8-0 run early in the game to lead 12-6. After Song Xiaoyun hit a three-pointer and Chen Xiaoli scored two points, China cut the deficit to two points by the end of the first quarter, trailing 13-11.

Local girls golf going through an up-and-down game [Arizona Daily Star (Tucson)](21 Aug 2008 04:00:00 EDT)Aug. 21--Cienega High School has canceled the Bobcat Classic, the only high school girls golf tournament in the Tucson metro area. 13, but only four teams signed up, said athletic director Whitney Holland. Little interest in the tourney may or may not reflect girls' interest in golf. --Amphitheater High School has not had a girls golf team in eight years but decided to bring it back.
