Following a huff and a puff, Abatix cleans up. The company distributes more than 30,000 personal protection and safety equipment products to environmental contractors as well as construction and industrial safety companies. Abatix's lineup is used by workers involved in cleanup projects, such as asbestos and lead abatement, and natural disasters. Products include sheeting and bags, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers and filters, and germicidals. Subsidiary International Enviroguard Systems imports fire retardant and disposable protective clothing. Abatix serves some 6,000 customers located throughout the US. It operates sales and distribution centers in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, California, Washington, and Florida.
