AarhusKarlshamn Company Description
AarhusKarlshamn is the result of a sweet deal between two former rivals in the vegetable oil industry: Sweden's Karlshamn and Danish group Aarhus United. Aarhus United made special chocolate fats and other specialty fats, oils, and oleochemicals used by the bakery, confectionery, cosmetic, dairy, infant formula, and pharmaceuticals industries. Its products went into products such as chocolate bars, margarine, baby formulas, and hand lotion. Investment company United International Enterprises (UIE) owned nearly 46% of Aarhus United before it acquired the rest and merged it with Swedish competitor Karlshamns.
