BRIEF: Gustav Might Push Gas Prices Higher [Hernando Today (Brooksville, FL)]

Sep. 2--TAMPA - It was unknown as of Monday how severely Hurricane Gustav affected the oil refineries along the Gulf Coast. Forecasters were expecting some sort of bump in prices as a result of the storm, according to AAA Auto Club South. Oil platforms in Gustav's path were evacuated and some land-based refineries were shut down.

Aug. 29--Chelsea Erwin isn't going to let high gas prices or the threat of Tropical Storm Gustav keep her from going to Panama City this Labor Day weekend. As a surfer, she tries to ignore the first. Gas prices too, could rise, if Gustav affects the Gulf of Mexico, experts said Thursday.
