The company, formerly Amax Entertainment Holdings, and its subsidiaries, are high rollers, investing in a variety of gaming and entertainment businesses. Amax ventures into the tourism industry of Macao through a near 50% stake in Greek Mythology Macau Entertainment Group -- leader in casinos and hotels in that region. Amax also holds 80% of AMA International, which organizes junkets to Macau casinos for VIP, high-stakes gamblers. In addition to Macau, Amax operates in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and the US. In 2009 the company exited its less promising LCD and LCD modules business, A-Max Kepo Display.
