New multiplex boosts Belle Vernon Area athletic programs [Tribune-Review, Greensburg, Pa.](01 Nov 2009 06:09:00 EST)Nov. 1--The timing was right for the Belle Vernon Area School District to establish a multiuse facility. The school board had debated building a new bus garage. Then 84 Lumber owner Joe Hardy offered to sell a facility on Finley Road to the district at a bargain price. "We didn't have enough money to do both, but then this building came up for sale," he said.

Belle Vernon school buses find new and improved home [Tribune-Review, Greensburg, Pa.](01 Nov 2009 06:09:00 EST)Nov. 1--Belle Vernon Area transportation supervisor Dave Bashada said their school buses will now last much longer because they are parked under several outdoor sheds that formerly sheltered 84 Lumber supplies. The Multiplex now houses the district's 31 buses on a paved 7-acre lot. "Several years ago, we outgrew that place," Bashada said of the old site.
