Overview
A development-stage company, 1st NRG formerly sought to develop gold properties in Canada, but it relinquished its gold-related mineral interests in 2003. In 2006 the company changed its name from Naptau Gold and began to explore other business opportunities, including specialty fuel production. 1st NRG is seeking to invest in oil and gas production and vertically integrate those assets into midstream operations. The company is reviewing initial projects in the midwestern US, Argentina, and Guatemala. In 2008 it announced plans to explore specialty fuel opportunities in China. However, that year 1st NRG also announced that it was facing heavy debt, and posted going concern warnings.
